I looked for years to find a franchise that was affordable and continued to be a partnership after money had exchanged hands. Most of what I found was very one sided. The benefit was in the favor of the franchisor and true from a monetary standpoint as well as their lack of involvement once the dotted line had been signed. The foundation and structure provided by the Access team encourages security and peace of mind that doing business daily will be a success in their system. The unknown is the scariest part of owning or starting your own business. The Access franchise system delivers a calming visibility to daily business operations, but then you add in their corporate team with an amazing culture and Boom…… it was a decision that was very much less worrisome. I would also say I really appreciate the welcoming discovery day Access executed for my family and I. Jesse and Chris put in the effort to make sure it was a special experience for sure!

Owning a business has always been a lifelong goal of mine but I could never get over the hesitation of the unknown. Never owning a business before and being unfamiliar with the organization, customer acquisition and management, marketing, sales, and generally everything else that comes with business ownership was a daunting mountain that I didn’t want to climb alone. From the very beginning of our journey towards owning an Access Garage Door & More location to finishing up our first month much busier than I could have ever anticipated, it has been unbelievably straightforward and stress-free thanks to the dedication and excellent knowledge of the corporate team. From the first call with Jesse to weekly and sometimes daily calls with Chris, there has never been a single moment where I have felt like I am climbing this mountain alone. The team has not only already been there and done that when it comes to building a successful business, but they will take you from zero experience to a competent garage door technician and business owner before your doors open. Once the doors are open, there is no looking back. I would pay the franchise fee multiple times over for what they have given me and my family. The support for every aspect of the new business is insanely robust and when the phone rings on day 1, you are fully prepared to show up ready, with professional equipment and make money. Ask me if I regret joining the Access Garage Door team, not for a second, it’s by far the best decision I’ve ever made for me and my family.

After the first few months of being in business and dealing with some frustrations and not feeling certain about how to move forward, a portion of the corporate team came in and spent three days with us taking a deep dive into the business. They sat back, listened to our issues and concerns and not only gave us some great insight into how we could better utilize our time in the office and streamline our interactions with our customers out in the field, really making us more efficient and profitable in the long run. We didn’t know what to expect with the on-site support visit that was included with our franchise program but were really pleased with how they worked to create a plan that was conducive to our style while also fitting into the established franchise model and we look forward to seeing how it helps our business flourish.
